A week ago tomorrow Ryan and I left for a mini-vacation to Tahoe. I have undergone a flurry of emotions in the past 7 days. From excitement and anxiety at leaving the girls behind, to utter relaxation while up in Tahoe, from excitement again at seeing the girls after 3 days of their absence quickly followed by fatigue at taking up motherly responsibilities again. Today, 4 days after our return home I feel my old, motherly self again; the house is somewhat tidied up tonight and I have a bit of energy to type out all the events of my life. And, of course, the sippy cups are all washed and lined up, ready for whatever tomorrow brings.
